Our core instruction is rooted in the distinguished Russian school of piano, which emphasizes technical excellence, musical expression, and the development of a deep, intuitive connection between performer and music. We believe that a strong foundation in classical technique provides the tools necessary to play any style of music with proficiency and artistry. Once foundational skills are established, lessons are adapted to explore a wide variety of genres that the student is excited about, including popular, contemporary, jazz, and blues. Our teaching philosophy is centered on developing the whole person through the joy of music, a powerful vehicle to enhance cognitive development, build self-confidence, nurture creativity, and instill discipline. Our personalized approach ensures that every lesson is tailored to the student's individual pace, goals, and passion for music.

What Our Lessons Include
Allegro Studio provides personalized, one-on-one private piano lessons that are tailored to each student's unique goals and learning style. Our lessons go far beyond simply learning to play songs, offering a comprehensive and well-rounded music education. The curriculum is built on a strong foundation of essential musical skills, including proper piano technique, music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and artistry and expression. Lessons are offered in 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions, based on the student's age, learning pace, and individual needs. We thoughtfully select method books that match each student's age, experience level, and musical goals, drawing from a rich library of respected series such as Faber Piano Adventures, Bastien Piano Basics, and William Gillock collections. For students from diverse backgrounds, our bilingual instructors offer lessons in Spanish, Russian, and English. We also provide remote piano lessons through our free PracticeSpace® app, ensuring that students can maintain their progress even when they are unable to attend in person.
Performance Opportunities
Performance Opportunities
Students have the opportunity to showcase their progress and build confidence through our biannual recitals, which are held in the summer (June/July) and winter (November/December). These events give students meaningful goals to work toward while celebrating their progress with family and friends. We also organize guest jury panels throughout the year, where qualified musicians provide valuable feedback to help students grow and refine their skills. Since performing helps build confidence and stage presence, participation in these events is strongly encouraged for all students.

Getting Started is Easy!
Starting your musical journey with us is a simple and personalized three-step process designed to ensure the best possible fit for every student. The first step is to contact us to schedule a complimentary 30-minute Discovery Session for the student. This dedicated time is the cornerstone of our personalized approach and is a wonderful opportunity for us to meet, discuss your goals, and for you to experience the studio environment. Following the session, you will receive a customized student agreement for your review and signature, which will clearly outline all studio policies, tuition details, and your student's unique lesson plan. Once you return the signed agreement, we will activate your personal Teachworks® online portal and schedule your first official lesson.
